We haven't set a specific date yet. We were hoping to get the persistent, permanent game out the door this year, but that's definitely not going to happen for a variety of reasons technological, content-completion and marketing-sense.
We're absolutely committed to releasing a game that is broadly bug-free, stable and compelling to play - and we're willing to take the time we need to get that right. A large amount of the fundamental technology we're using/developing is work-in-progress - because it's not been done before - and that inevitably introduces a certain amount of unexpected delay to the development process. However, we're pretty confident now that the majority of the new tech is bedded-in and stable.
Of course, games like AoA (and Illy) are never finished in terms of functionality, gameplay and content - we always want to continuously add to games to ensure they have the longevity we want - so there has to be a point where we have to say "OK, this is the Minimum Viable Product that we think has longevity and that people will enjoy playing, and let's get it out the door - we can add to it later".
Our current target is to get the MVP out there in time for launch at the start of the 2017 games conference season, which sorta hits stride end-Feb 2017. But don't hold me to that ... it is subject to change!
