So after reading the Backstories again a few things ended up jumping out and raising some questions! i understand if some of these can not yet be answered, or only answered in the lounge but they popped up and intrested me
'Most weeks he was stuck in the engine room of the Buy High, an inappropriately named beta class trading ship in which he had a 1/33 share, ...'
I was wondering if this meant that if we have people working on our ships we will need to give them a certain pay or a share of the profits?
" 'Too late! They will be there, it’s not like they could be going anywhere else. They’re not using jumpgates and they’re not advertising like they normally do. They only stop selling when they’ve agreed to meet' "
Will there be said 'advertising' by companies/ factions?
'Ding was good to her word and let Bobby and Jack take the tiny little ship to ship shuttle they owned over to one of the habitats. They took fresh milk, cryogenically stored for the entire year since they’d picked it up in Epsilon Eridani, cheese, fudge, a kilo of Camooran Caviar from a good vintage and three crates of port from Porto on old Earth.'
Would trading these luxeries be actually worth a while? And with that will we need ways to feed ourselves and crew in the game?
There is no text for my first question but will there be these dung beetles as AI's? And this way have to defend your friends ship while he is coming with another?
'The nanites allowed her to find a safe path and minimised her risk. They were expensive, had to be replaced and needed a license to make, but were worth every penny.'
Would things like this also be available in game?
And just a general question which i need a tiny tad of clarification for, why did they blow up the ship? I don't comprehend the need of it's destruction, i mean it got destroyed even more by the same company?
Will these be run by AI's as well as players or just one of the two?
'Worse was the momentary disorientation of the ship. Even if the crew could keep their stomachs under control, the navigation systems, engines and other functions needed to relocate themselves, come back up to full power and realise they’d crossed a dozen light years in the time it took to walk the length of the ship.'
This appears in a few stories and makes it sound like, if i get this correct, every time you do a jump your systems need to 'reset' itself. How would this work? Would bigger ships need more time? Can you prioritize what needs to be turned on first or will it all be at the same time?
Just first of all the picture of the story seems to be first of all a newsflash? Does this imply news will be in the game? Also it seems like there are shares at the bottom?
'The battleship had taken four months, three billion dollars, fifteen hundred people and seventy five thousand tonnes of material to build, but at last the Flare Lights All Enemies was ready to launch on her maiden flight.'
This is intresting maybe some more on how the actual building of ships works?
'Hui’s personal comm buzzed, ‘Hi.’ '
Yeay comms! Was wondering how many different comms there would be? Also if these will be messages and/or talking?
'Hui Teh of the Be Safe Out There limited company, we welcome you to the Alliance. Once we have processed the criminals in our system we shall send someone to discuss how your company can serve us in our expansion.
First of all what are companies? Different from alliances or a different name? Also would this mean that Political factions will really mingle with others and even as much as accept you?
